Newsflash:  South Africa’s Yvonne Chaka Chaka, popular singer-songwriter and Goodwill Ambassador for the Roll Back Malaria Partnership, has become the first African woman to receive the World Economic Forum's (WEF) Crystal Award. The award is given each year to successful artists who have used their art to "improve the state of the world", according to the WEF.  She was honoured along with French filmmaker, screenwriter and producer Luc Besson, and Japanese-American classical violinist Midori Gotō, founder of the Midori Foundation

BICYCLES FOR SALE

The distributors of FELT bicycles are clearing their stock of bicycles. These include Road, Mountain Bike and Tri-bikes. Their prices will be discounted to below cost price, a bargain that cannot be missed. I will be receiving a revised pricelist soon and will let you know of the availability of stock. In the mean time, please let me know if you/staff/parents/friends are interested and I can provisionally check whether it is available. I will need to know sizes as well. (Your height and inside leg measurement should do). We are also talking about top-end bikes at ridiculous prices.

Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Fellowship Application

 

 

Grade 12

Anyone who obtained a minimum of a B aggregate for Grade 11, a minimum of a C for Maths, and who plans to study Commerce, Science (not Medicine) Engineering, Law or Humanities (Politics, Philosophy or Economics degree) is eligible to apply for this fellowship, which covers all costs for tertiary education at designated universities.
