The DSG is an Anglican school with a full-time Chaplain who lives on the
campus. Girls of all denominations are accepted at the school and they are expected to attend corporate services held in the Chapel.
Each year we offer confirmation classes to girls in Grades 10, 11 and 12. The girls are confirmed by the Bishop of Grahamstown.
The Chapel with its exquisite stained glass windows was built in 1874 in the middle of the campus and has become the spiritual centre of the school. Often girls, regardless of individual beliefs, will visit the Chapel to spend some quiet time away during their busy days.
