Arts Honours Award(s) - Drama, Art and Dance - Kei-Ella Loewe
Kei-Ella Loewe has been an actress of distinction at The DSG and College since she was at St. Andrew’s Pre-Primary school - with her highly proficient playing of the lead role in the musical of Alice in Wonderland when she was at DSG Junior now being repeated in an acclaimed performance as the female lead in Footloose. Her focused characterisation of the granny in Happily Abba After is also well remembered, along with her extremely funny portrayals of the unwitting psycho-killer in last year’s Senior House Plays, and her fat school boy in the Junior ones.
Kei-Ella has been actively involved in drama at The DSG in both the playing in and conceptualising and directing of House Plays, at Eisteddfods and in Trinity Drama, for which she received a distinction for her Advanced Performance Diploma last year. She organises drama at the school, and she is performing at The National Arts Festival.
Kei-Ella has shown the necessary high level of dedication in both service to, and skill in, drama to be awarded Honours in Drama.
Furthermore, Kei-Ella has revealed an extremely high level of skill in, and service to, all of the arts at The Diocesan School for Girls. She has received Colours Awards in Drama and Dance, Half Colours for Chamber Choir and Highly Commended for Art. Kei-Ella has been visible as a choreographer and dancer, in The Dance Studio, and as a member of the First Physical Theatre’s Youth Company for three years, performing at National Arts Festivals and the Schools’ Festival. She has done the art work for posters and drawn backdrops for dance and theatre productions, and is an accomplished visual artist. She has also shown great skill on stage, including musically as a singer.
Kei-Ella has revealed the necessary high level of skill in, and dedication to, the arts, to be awarded Arts Honours.
