The Diocesan School for Girls and its girls were delighted to attend the opening of the Holy Cross School situated out of town on the Highlands road.
The school was officially blessed and sanctified by the Arch-Bishop Thabo Makgoba and our Grahamstown Anglican Bishop Ebenezer Ntlali.
The DSG girls have been building a relationship with the monks and children from the monastery of uMaria umMama weThemba Monastery in the interests of sharing their resources with the emerging new Holy Cross School. As both the DSG and the Holy Cross School are Anglican they share a common understanding of spirituality and as a result of this burgeoning relationship Mrs Shelley Frayne of the DSG has announced that they will be official adopting this school through their Community Engagement projects.
