INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Information Technology replaces Computer Studies HG in the new curriculum. It has two section namely Theory and Practical.
The theory includes hardware and software, e-communications, social and ethical issues.
The practical includes using word processing, spreadsheets and database and programming. At St Andrew's College we program in Java, and we use JGrasp and Netbeans as the programming environments. We have a dedicated IT lab which is an open source lab. We run Ubuntu 10.04 operating system and all the programs on the computers are open source software.
