DSG Swimathon
From 10am on Saturday 18 March to 10am on Sunday 19 March pupils from the Diocesan School for Girls were involved in a 'DSG Swimathon' to raise funds for a new DSG pool. The event was arranged by the girls themselves and is the beginning of a fundraising drive for the new pool. Each swimmer was sponsored and 10 teams consisting of 12 swimmers each swam for the entire 24 hour period. Each girl in the team swam four sessions with each session being a half hour in length.
“All in all it was a brilliant event that generated a lot of spirit and camaraderie from the girls. The Grade 12 girls were tireless in their running of the event,” said David Wright, Director of Sport at DSG
