AMESA Maths Relay – Wednesday May 27th
Six schools competed (22 teams) including Nombulelo and Nathaniel Nyalusa. Students clearly had a lot of fun, enjoyed the mathematical challenge and enjoyed meeting and participating with students from other schools. I am told that this is the first time (with the Sci Fest relay) that township schools have participated. In both cases the Maths Centre has been actively involved in supporting these schools to participate.
The winning teams were as follows:
1st Place
Alice Oberholzer (DSG)
Nicola Wilson (DSG)
Marcel Borijn (SAC)
Oliver Wale (SAC)
2nd Place
Xolisa Phongolo (Nombulelo)
