Dear DSG Old Girls and parents
THE “DSG 500 CLUB”
We wish to extend an invitation to you to become members of the DSG 500 Club.
The 100 Club was established 25 years ago by parents and teachers as a means of raising funds for providing, upgrading and improving a variety of facilities at the school, for the benefit of the children not covered by school fees.
This club has been kept alive for these years and has made a valuable contribution to the school; such facilities include:
· R50 000 towards construction of the Aquatic Centre
· Building the Pavilion
· Upgrading the Swimming Pool Change Rooms
· Providing equipment for the Gym
· Enclosing the verandah of the Lilla Strong Hall
· Purchasing Lighting and Sound equipment for the Hall
· Providing a new Grand Piano for the DR Wynne Music School
· Building the wall along the Worcester Street passed the Junior School,
· Building the Lych gate at the Victoria entrance
· Installing the pedestrian gate in front of the Junior School
· Providing a variety of computer equipment including a digital camera and data projector
It has now been decided give this valuable resource a new look and the 500 Club has now been launched!
The down side of this a small price increase.
· R40 per month or R480 per annum. A tax receipt will be issued for this donation.
The upside of this change is increase in funds raised and an increase in prize winnings. By means of a monthly draw, all members will have the opportunity to win cash prizes of:
· 1st Prize R2 000
· 2nd Prize R1 000
· 2 x Prizes R 500
It is a wonderful way to raise funds and we would like to encourage everyone to come aboard
