GRADE 8 FOOD TECHNOLOGY
This grade 8 class have just completed their Food Tech session with Mr Van Winkel – and as you can see they made cupcakes. However, this was a small part of the whole. They learned about the foods of the world, who eats what and how. They studied essential ingredients/nutrients in food and the risks to humans of preservatives etc, menu design, food pyramids etc, and also did some research at the local supermarket on the weight to price ratio of food. However, we all know that it’s the cooking where the action happens!
