What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than to debate against our brother school? The DSG society was out in full force to support their fellow debaters and gain experience by attending their first formal debate. The motion put forward was “This house would apply a lower rate of income tax to women”. The DSG team opposed the motion, and lost the debate only though a technicality. Well done to Sam-Sam Mrubata, Asanda Biyana and Justine Lowe, who debated this motion. Thank you must go to, Mr Xeketwana, Ms Featherstone, Ms Harry, and Mr Cuyler of St Andrews, for an evening that was enjoyed by all!
