SWIMMING
We are back from Level 3 and what a great gala it was. Aquabear swimmers did us proud and we ended up 6th overall out of 64 clubs!
We were 8th right up until the last event which was the girls 15 - 18yrs 4 x 50m Freestyle relay. The Aquabear Team of Robyn Charter, Erin Graham. Tammy Price and Michaela Barnes were ranked 7th on the program and managed to pull off an unbelieveable win, all four girls swimming well under 27 seconds and breaking the EP open 4 x 50m freestyle relay record! This win put us ahead of Action swim Academy and Mandeville Dolphins.

Erin Graham and Robyn Charter swam exceptionally well competing in the 15-18 year age group. Robyn made the final of the 100m backstroke and 100m free. She achieved a new personal best time in the 100m free of 59.8sec and thus she also became the 1st EP woman to break the 1min for 100m free. Robyn also tied the EP record in 50m free with a time of 27.56sec. Erin came 4th in the 100m free and during the gala she also achieved a new personal best time of 1.8min. Erin also dropped her time in the 50m backstroke to 31.69 and finished in 4th place. Erin and Robyn, along with Tammy Price and Michaela Barnes, won the women’s 4 x 50m free relay. All 4 swimmers swam under 28sec. This is the 1st time in about 30 years that EP has won a relay at a major National event.
