T he pupil-body at DSG is heterogeneous, with a quarter of the girls coming from countries other than South Africa. The exchange programme is up and running with the school having partnered with four schools in three different countries, namely Australia, New Zealand and India.
The well-established exchange programme is a valuable component of our curriculum. We have partnered with four schools in three different countries and each year, twelve girls from Grade 10 are selected to temporarily attend schools in Australia, New Zealand and India. The girls enjoy the opportunity to learn about other cultures and grow from their global participation and while only twelve girls travel overseas, they bring back their experiences to the school. In addition, all pupils benefit when girls from the foreign schools come to South Africa on exchange and spend time with us at DSG.
