T he pupil-body at DSG is heterogeneous, with a quarter of the girls coming from countries other than South Africa. The exchange programme is up and running with the school having twinned with four schools in three different countries. Each year, 12 girls from Grade 10 have been selected to take part in the school’s growing programme, going to schools in Australia, New Zealand and India.
The well-established exchange programme is a valuable component of our programme. We have twinned with four schools in three different countries and each year, twelve girls from Grade 10 are selected to go to schools in Australia, New Zealand and India. The girls enjoy the opportunity to learn about other cultures and grow from their global experience and while only twelve girls travel overseas, they bring back their experiences to the school. Also, all DSG girls benefit when girls from the foreign schools come to South Africa on exchange and spend time with us at DSG.
